You know that piece of jewellery you put on and immediately feel more like yourself?
That's what I make for you and even teach you to make for yourself.
Hello, and welcome to Cleo Jewellery
Obsessed with silversmithing and jewellery design
Hi, I'm Wendy, and I make every single piece of jewellery you'll find here by hand, in my workshop in Hampshire, UK. I make them with love, attention to detail and creativity.
I started silversmithing in 2020, during lockdown. I was working from home, home-schooling two kids, and quietly losing my mind. I needed something to do with my hands. Something that was just mine. I bought some tools, watched some tutorials, and that was it - I was completely, utterly hooked.
Fast forward to now: I've got diplomas in silversmithing, fine jewellery and advanced jewellery. I've built a workshop from scratch (with a lot of help from my dad), and filled it with every tool I could think of.
And now, I get to share my passion for jewellery and the mindfulness of creating things with other people by running workshops and classes from my Odiham workshop. Andy my favourite part… when they take their finished pieces out of the tumbler at the end of a class and say “wow, I can’t believe I made this!”
Cleo’s namesake
Cleo is named after Cleopatra, not because she was a queen who wore a lot of gold (though, respect), but because she was powerful, complex, and refused to be one thing. That feels right to me.
The jewellery I make is bold and tactile - pieces that feel like something when you put them on. Silver, 9ct gold, brass, copper, natural gemstones. Nothing mass-produced, nothing generic. Each piece is designed and made by me, and I take a limited number of custom commissions too if you have something specific in mind.
Join the CLEO Community
But honestly? Cleo is more than a jewellery brand to me. It's a community of women (and men, and everyone in between) who have found their way here, who follow along on Instagram, who book onto workshops, who send me photos of themselves wearing their pieces on big nights out or just a Tuesday.
That community is everything. You lot are the reason I took the leap from corporate to small business.
If you're new here - welcome. I'm really glad you found me. Come and say hello on Instagram, browse the collections, or if you fancy learning to make something yourself, take a look at my workshops. Watching someone hold up a piece they've made with their own hands for the first time is, genuinely, one of my favourite things in the world.
I hope you find something here that feels like it was made for you. Because in a way, it was.
